Brave Warrior is a 1952 western film, directed by Spencer Gordon Bennet and starring Jon Hall and Christine Larson. The story is based around events of the War of 1812 and the Battle of Tippecanoe, but contains historical inaccuracies, mainly in that Tecumseh sided with the British and not the Americans.
The United States and the British in Canada dispute territories and boundaries in Indiana. Both sides need to gain the support of Shawnee Chief Tecumseh (Jay Silverheels). Governor William Henry Harrison (James Seay) enlists the help of Steve Ruddell (Jon Hall), a boyhood friend of Tecumseh. Tecumseh’s leadership of the Shawnee is disputed by his brother (known as ‘The Prophet’), who sides with the British. Steve is in love with Laura MacGregor (Christine Larson), but her father, Shayne MacGregor, is also secretly aiding the British against the Americans. Everything eventually comes to a head at the Battle of Tippecanoe
